One growing issue that has risen with the popularity of Facebook is the idea of privacy. While many people use Facebook as a means of public social networking, those who wish to keep information between them and their 'friends' have the right to do so via the Facebook privacy settings. However despite the privacy settings, more and more people are being screened by employers. It has gone so far that those who post seemingly inappropriate photos risk loosing their careers. This article (and small video news clip) talk about a woman who was forced to resign from her teaching position because the school principal found Facebook photos of her with wine and beer in her hand. This sparks the question; how far is too far? What is deemed appropriate? In my opinion, it is not in the least inappropriate for a 24 year old woman to have a photo of herself with a glass of wine in her hand. It would be one thing if she was displaying provocative photos, or drunken photos to her students, however she is and should be completely entitled to drink after school (or in Europe where the photos were taken), without any reprcussions.
