This is a website where people can repost the ridiculous things their "friends" have posted on facebook. Common postings include pictures of stupid tattoos, TMI status updates, couples' disputes via wall postings, etc.
There are two things that I find really compelling about this site:
#1 Exactly how ethical is it?
I like to think that I'm not socially awkward... in person as well as on the internet. But if I saw that one of my "friends" had reposted something I had said, I'd probably cry. The website does give the original poster anonymity; only his or her first name shows and the the last name and profile picture thumbnail are blurred out. Does this effort make the website any less harmful?
#2 It reinforces the idea that facebook has social taboos and further defines what these taboos are.
The "taboo" that I see broken most is the notion of giving "TMI." There has only ever been one time when I considered reposting something my "friend" had said onto lamebook. He had a status update saying, "good news guys, I'm not going to be a dad after all!" and proceeded to recount some drama with his ex faking a pregnancy. Sure, maybe its okay to tell that story to someone in person, but posting it on the internet for everyone to see makes me want to cringe. Part of me felt like he deserved to have his post mocked at for all of lamebook viewers to see.
