Discretion & Online Social Networking

As I've been thinking about the course, the texts and Facebook, social networking sites, and online communities I think one of the main issues is discretion. With so many people worried about privacy and security I think discretion would solve many people's problems. This article http://stevenduque.com/2010/05/facebook-privacy-the-tell-all-generation-learning-discretion/ discusses how the "Tell-All" generation is now becoming concerned with privacy and discretion.

The article reveals that users in their 20s more frequently delete unsavory posts and content on their Facebook. This suggests that this generation that grew up on the internet are starting to become more aware of their exposure and privacy issues. People are worried about jobs and third parties getting a hold of their content. It seems that using discretion while posting content on Facebook in the first place would prevent this panic people are going through now.
